Guaranteeing the fundamental right of access to obstetric and gynecological care for women with motor disabilities: this is the goal of “For every woman – Cure without barriers”, the crowdfunding campaign of Fondazione Foemina together with the Habilia association and the AOU Careggi and that sees the actress Vittoria Puccini as an exceptional testimonial, who aims to raise funds to purchase health equipment useful to improve the reception of women with motor disabilities who go for visits, analyzes, checks and obstetric-gynecological care at the Department Maternal-Infantile of the University Hospital of Careggi.
From 28 October it will be possible to donate on the Eppel a www.eppela.com/perognidonna
Thanks to Social Crowdfunders sixth edition, an initiative to support third sector fundraising carried out with the contribution of the CR Firenze Foundation, within Siamosolidali, in collaboration with Feel Crowd, the amount raised will be doubled if it is possible to reach the half of the target set on the platform, or € 10,000.
In keeping with the AOU Careggi design perspective of widening the offer currently available for patients with disabilities, the funds will be used to purchase electric beds and lifts, the lack of these equipment prevents women with motor disabilities from being able to make a visit or an assessment like any other woman.
Partner of the initiative is also the Habilia Onlus association, active in the social and socio-health care sector, in favor of people with non-modifiable or only partially recoverable motor disabilities.
The project, which has already met with a wide consensus, also has an exceptional testimonial, already godmother of the Foemina Foundation: the actress Vittoria Puccini, in fact, immediately responded to the request for support, making herself available to spread the campaign and raise awareness on the issue of the right of access to care for all.
This initiative aims to appeal to all citizens, companies and associations in the area but above all to all those who believe that a right like that to health should be valid for everyone, in equal measure.
From 28 October to 7 December 2022 it is also possible to donate a very small, but precious, contribution to the project by credit card on www.eppela.com/perognidonna or by bank transfer made out to Fondazione Foemina Onlus Banca Intesa San Paolo IBAN IT08I0306902910000000001025 inserting as the reason “For every woman – Cure without barriers”.
Also on Eppela, finally, supporters will be able to choose among some rewards donated for the project by various museums, exhibitions and realities that have joined the initiative with pleasure: it is possible to select the entrance to the Stibbert Museum, to the Novecento Museum with the exhibition of Tony Cragg, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Centro Pecci in Prato, the entrance to the Museo degli Innocenti with access to the Escher exhibition, the entrance to Palazzo Strozzi with the OLAFUR ELIASSON IN TUO TEMPO exhibition, the entrance to the new Inside Bansky exhibition and the entrance to the exhibition “Photographs by Elliot Erwitt” in the splendid Villa Bardini in Florence.
