Five accordions for six accordionists on stage
From 30 August to 2 September, on the occasion of the Florentine Summer 2016, the GAMO is in artistic residence at the Museo Novecento, which hosts within the exhibition path, in Section 4, some historical-artistic testimonies of the Open Group Musica Oggi, matured during its 37 years of activity.
During the four days of residency, the ROWS Ensemble, guest of GAMO, will work on the program of the concert scheduled for September 2, with open rehearsals and moments of deepening in direct contact with the audience.
The concert-show is designed as an opportunity to listen to a sound with an unpublished dramatic performance. It will also be a concert-show inspired by the ‘Teatro del gesto’ by Mauricio Kagel on which the great Argentine Master founded a good part of his compositional work and his studies of performance theater. The “direction” of the concert will be curated by Francesca Della Monica.
The music will be by Mauricio Kagel (for accordion, for two accordions, for accordion quintet), Nicoletta Andreuccetti, Daniela Fantechi, Alessandro Magini, all music premieres and written ad hoc for the project of artistic residence signed GAMO.
