On the occasion of the publication of his autobiography, the Museo Novecento remembers Liliana Poli, a well-known singer, who suddenly died last year.
Great voice, great musical intelligence, the artist was the protagonist of first historical performances also documented by numerous recordings that the internet today makes it less difficult to find. The adjective that can best describe it is “versatile”: from listening to its interpretations you can grasp an operatic setting, the most effectively traditional, which then ranges from twentieth-century music to very particular emissions, in a kaleidoscope that constantly shows intact a prodigious technique.
Program of the pieces performed:
L. Berio, Sequence for solo voice
A. Berg, Quattro Lieder op. 2
L. Dallapiccola, Four lyrics by Antonio Machado
J. Cage, Air for solo voice
Performers:
Elisa Bonazzi (voice), Gaia Mattiuzzi (voice), Elisabetta Benvenuti (piano)
