Tuesday, January 27 at 17.00, Conference at the Museum: The role of Alberto Della Ragione in defense of artists sent to the regime
Between the late Thirties and the beginning of the Forties the collector and patron Alberto Della Ragione defended and supported the art unpopular with the regime both through campaigns of purchases, offering protection to artists persecuted for political or racial reasons.
On the occasion of the Memorial Day, the Museum offers an itinerant visit with particular reference to the works of Guttuso and the spouses Mafai (Mario Mafai and Antonietta Raphaël), artists housed in the residence of the same Della Ragione during the persecutions.
