Where and when
Presentation of the volume by Giuseppe Chiari
With Gabriele Bonomo, Mario Chiari, Bruno Corà and Valentina Gensini
Giuseppe Chiari (1926-2007) is described by Gino Di Maggio and Giampaolo Prearo as a “complex personality, who, however, always made himself available for the meeting. “Art is easy – Music is easy” are two of his most famous statements. Obvious paradoxes, which however signaled, as never before, the desire for everyone to participate in the game, in the belief that the game was worth the candle to make us even a little happier”.
During the meeting at the Museo Novecento, the volume Musica Madre, published by Prearo Editore, dedicated to the work of Giuseppe Chiari, a multifaceted and experimental Florentine artist and composer, Italian promoter of the historical avant-gardes of research art, will be presented. A large publication that documents his work and represents an important cross-section of the artist’s activity, from the statements of the seventies, to works such as Musica Madre, Gesti sul piano, La strada, to collages of the 80s, up to more recent works, concerning half a century of production.
