Novecento Live. The lives of the great Italian artists of the Twentieth Century

The Museo Novecento explores the fascinating reality of the artist’s lives with a new project conceived by the cultural mediation of Mus.e and aimed at everyone. Artists of all times are frequently considered in the light of their works and their works, material outcomes of their own poetics and their own language. But, like us, they were people who led their own existence in the world, who wove relationships, who lived the events of history.

The events brought together by Novecento live devote their attention to the lives of artists, with particular attention to some great protagonists of Italian art of the twentieth century, well represented in civic collections. The meetings are structured as stories, to be listened to and tasted thanks to the pleasure of the narration in the evocative cloister of the museum, which will intertwine the visual representation of the main features narrated “live”: the narrator, in fact, will be accompanied by a visual action, which it will freeze the salient episodes on a large backdrop, in the form of an image.

In the intertwining of story and performance, therefore, each appointment will thus allow you to get close in a particularly engaging way to the biographical and historical events of the different characters, capturing their particularities and curiosities. For this reason, the Novecento live program is dedicated to everyone and suitable for everyone, young and old: four evenings – for the moment – to experience the pleasure of encountering art made in person.
